Hays County did not release a full up date on COVID-19 on Saturday, citing the "sheer number" of infections involved.
A press release did say there were 142 new cases, along with two new hospitalizations.
The number of people actively sick with the coronavirus last week outstripped the number who have recovered since the first case was announced on March 15.
