Sixty nine new COVID-19 cases were reported to Hays County June 15, bring the total number to 938. Fourteen people are currently hospitalized out of 46 who have been. Five people have died, 4,824 have tested negative and 666 are considered active. Test results were pending in 112 cases, and 267 people have recovered.
Nearly half the cases are in the 20-29 age group, and San Marcos, with 481 positives and 400 active cases, eclipsed Kyle, which has had 310 positives and currently has 182 actives.
Whites have accounted for 63.3 percent of cases; 45.1 percent are in Hispanics and 2.4 percent in blacks.
