Staff report
Like other civic facilities, the county’s only intake for stray and homeless animals is feeling the pinch of COVID-19 prevention.
The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is closed to the public but still has an abundance of cats and dogs needing permanent – or at least temporary – homes.
The adoption lobby is closed but staff can process foster homes as well as adoptions through 512-805-2650 or [email protected].
Pickup of fosters will be by appointment only from 5 to 8 p.m. daily. Those interested should contact [email protected].
