Newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hays County spiked by 5 by Monday at 4 p.m., bring the total number of confirmed cases to 59.

Of those, 43 are still active and one more person has been hospitalized. Overall there have been seven hospitalizations with three current. The rest are sent home to self-quarantine.
Sixteen people have recovered and 8 are pending. Negative results came back in 381 cases.
