Hays County’s total confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus grew by four overnight, bringing the total to 54 as of 4 p.m. Sunday, April 5. Twelve people have recovered and as many tests were pending. Negative tests so far totaled 338, and our of 7 hospitalizations, only 2 people remained hospitalized.
One of the new cases was the first among 10 to 19 year olds. No one below the age of 10 or above the age of 79 has tested positive in Hays County. The majority of cases, 37, have been in people aged 20 through 59. Thirty four of the people who tested positive were women, compared to 20 males.
