The first case of the COVID-19 virus in a Wimberley resident was confirmed on Friday, when the county’ total number of cases rose to 47. Of the two case reported since April was a woman between the ages of 20 and 29; the second was a man aged 40-49.

The county's emergency web page, haysinformed.com is updated at approximately 4 p.m. weekdays.
There have as yet been no deaths among county residents infected with the novel coronavirus.
Friday’s report also says that 13 people have recovered, 260 tests have turned out negative. At the time of the web page update, tests on 11 people were pending.
