Dripping Springs High School students qualified in four events for FFA Area VII LDE (Leadership Development Event) based on their district finishes. Three of the teams placed among the top five in the area competition, which was conducted virtually.
The Greenhand Chapter Conducting team of Kira Richardson, Chandler Latham, Alexis Brashear, Cole Sullivan, Christian Tripp, Alaina Rand, Amanda Alderson placed fourth. The Senior Quiz team also was fourth; members are Carys Blackmon, Annie Terrell, Kate Tressler, and Allee Rainey. The Greenhand Quiz team of : Chandler Latham, Cole Sullivan, Christian Tripp, Kira Richardson placed fifth at the area event.
Also qualifying based on their district placement was the FFA Broadcasting team (Billie Kaye Vantrease, Hanna Tindol, Caroline Olson).
At the River District meet earlier this month, in addition to these four teams that placed in the top two to earn the area invitation, DSHS had students place among the top five in eight other events.
