The 2020 volleyball season got underway earlier this month when Hays and Johnson squared off against each other for the first time at the varsity level. Hays emerged with a straight-set 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 win, but followed with a straight-set Sept. 18 defeat to New Braunfels and a five-set loss to Dripping Springs on Sept. 19. Meanwhile, Johnson earned the program's first win at the varsity level Sept. 18 when it defeated Lampasas in straight sets.
