Kyle Police Department investigates homicide believed to be drug-related

KYLE— The Kyle Police Department is investigating a homicide believed to be drug-related that happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 19.


At approximately 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Kyle Police officers responded to the 100 block of Dusky Thrush Drive for a report of a gunshot. Upon arrival, officers found the body of Christopher L. Trevino, 19. The alleged shooter fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

Investigators were able to locate the suspect a short while later at an apartment complex. He is identified as a 15-year-old male from Kyle. He was processed into the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center on multiple charges including murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, deadly conduct, unlawful carry of a weapon, and iIllegal discharge of a firearm.


The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
