The Central Texas Food Bank, in partnership with the city of Kyle, is hosting a mass food distribution event on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 8-11 a.m. at the Smile Direct Facility, 300 Vista Ridge Dr. — across from the Home Depot.

Central Texas residents facing food insecurity can drive to the event to receive a box of assorted produce, milk, and a protein box. Actual contents may vary depending on availability. All are welcome and no registration is required.

“We want to serve as many people as we can, and we want to make it as low a barrier as possible for receiving assistance,” Kyle City Council member Robert Rizo said. “We aren’t here to decide who does and doesn’t need food. We are just going to make sure you have it.”
