Food distribution Saturday at Lehman HS

Central Texas Food Bank , city of Kyle Host October Mass Food Distribution

KYLE – The Central Texas Food Bank in partnership with the city of Kyle and Texas Disposal Systems is hosting a mass food distribution event on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8-11 a.m. at Lehman High School, 1700 Lehman Road.

Central Texas residents facing food insecurity can drive to the event to receive a box of assorted produce, milk, and a protein box. Actual contents may vary depending on availability. All are welcome and no registration is required.

“This year has been tough for many, and we know people could use a little extra help on all fronts,” Kyle City Councilmember Robert Rizo said. “We want to remove as many barriers as we can for people in our community to get what they need and this partnership with Central Texas Food Bank has been invaluable in doing that.”

From May through August, citywide Mass Food Distributions have provided food for 5,221 households, with a total of 23,126 individuals served.
