Staff Report
A six match Johnson Jaguar volleyball team losing streak ended Friday when the team returned to the win column via a hard-fought four set win over the Lehman Lobos.
Johnson (5-12, 4-8) claimed the first two frames and led the match 2-0 before the Lobos (4-12, 1-10) battled back to win set three 25-21. However, the Jaguars recovered and claimed set four 25-11 to secure the match victory.
The result marked the second time this season Johnson defeated crosstown rival Lehman. Meanwhile, Lehman's struggles continued as the Lobos dropped their 10th straight match in a row. Three of Lehman's last four losses came in matches that went four or more sets.
Johnson concludes its 2020 home schedule when the Jaguars host Kerrville Tivy Friday at 6:30 p.m. Lehman next hosts Boerne Champion at home Friday.
