One woman is in custody and several people are with refugee advocates after the Hays County Sheriffs Office raided a San Marcos spa and served a search warrant at the home of its owner.
Selina Sun, 41, is charged with trafficking of persons, a second degree felony. She was arrested Oct. 30 and released later
that day after posting $20,000 BOND.
The HCSO said it had been looking into possibly illicit activities at the Riverbend Spa, 2904 Old Ranch Road12, and during the course of the investigation deputies learned several workers who were living at the shop were performing sexual acts for money. On Oct. 29, a special investigative unit with the HC, Office along with the Anti-Trafficking Unit from the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration and refugee advocates out of Austin executed a search warrant at the spA. During the investigation, the HCSOworked with multiple agencies that contributed to its success to include the Texas Attorney General’s Office, The Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration.
