Governor Greg Abbott reappointed three directors for the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Board (GBRA) and added Dennis L. Patillo as the presiding officer. The board will serve until 2025.
“As a regional leader in providing water and wastewater services, GBRA is prepared to meet the needs and challenges of the growing population of the Guadalupe River Basin,” said GBRA Board Chairman Dennis L. Patillo. “I am pleased Directors Meador, Carbonara and Ehrig have been reappointed. I look forward to our continued work together by supporting the needs of a growing population, economy and healthy environment through responsible watershed protection and stewardship.”
Patillo is president of Stewart Title of the Coastal Bend Inc. and president of Evangelynn Hospitality LLC. He has experience as a board member of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation, the Houston Association of Realtors and the Texas Association of Realtors and more.
The three directors to the GBRA have years of experience in multiple entities qualifying them for the position.
Meador has a background in ranching and experience in being a board member in Hays County Farm Bureau, Hays County Water Conservation District and City of Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission.
Carbonara, vice president of RNC Agency, has experience in insurance and as treasurer for the Cuero Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of DeWitt County Board and Cuero Development Corporation.
Ehrig is the owner and partner to Ehrig Brothers Ag and other agricultural businesses and he represents Gonzales County. He also has experience as a board member of the Gonzales County Young Farmers, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Texas Young Farmers.
These appointees will be confirmed during the next legislative session in January 2021.
