A missing teenager described as suicidal and who might be in possession of a handgun has prompted Hays County authorities to enlist the public’s help.
Simon Uilses Montoya, 15, left on foot from his home near Schubert Lane in Kyle around noon on Thursday, Sept. 10 wearing a red hooded sweater. According to a news release from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Montoya told a girlfriend that he was going to kill himself. Capt. David Burns also said the teen had been diagnosed with “severe emotional problems” and was recently hospitalized in a local mental health facility.
He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.”If you see Simon, do not approach him, call 911,” the news release said.
