A man described as a “confirmed gang member” was one of two arrested earlier this month when authorities raided a Buda home where drugs were discovered.
Jose Edward Villegas III, 19, and John Paul Arrellano, 22, were taken into custody by the Hays County Narcotics Task Force Sept. 4 in the 700 block of Rolling Hills.
Seized were 36 grams of marijuana, 31.5 grams of cocaine, 26 tabs of LSD and $2,075 in cash.
Villegas, who was identified as a known gang member, was charged with two counts of first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and several misdemeanors. Arrellano was also charged with first-degree manufature or delivery of a controlled substance.
Bond information and prior Hays County offenses were not accessible as the county is in the middle of switching to a new computer system.
