Heavy rains force road closures in Hays County

More than 20 Hays County roads and low water crossings have closed Tuesday due to high water as a result of steady, and at times heavy, rainfall, according to a press release.


According to officials, FM 1626 at Cole Springs Road has closed due to water over the road. Several low water crossings along Dacy Lane have also closed.


Below is a list of road closures at this time. More information can be found at atxfloods.com. 


Authorities urge motorists to avoid flooded low water crossings. Turn around, don't drown.

FM 1626 at Cole Springs Road

200 block of Lehman Road

Lehman Road at Hallie Drive

Dacy Lane, .75 miles west of Bebee Road

3800 block of Dacy Lane

Andrew's Crossing between Dacy Lane and Windy Hiil Road

Dacy Lane, .25 miles north of Kelley Smith Lane

Rohde Road, .25 miles west of Graef Road

South Turnersville Road, .25 miles south of Lanes Lane


Dripping Springs and Driftwood 


Bell Springs Road, 1 mile south of Fitzhugh Road

Trautwein Road at Barton Creek


Ranch Road 150 at York Creek

Rolling Oaks Drive at York Creek

Creek Road and Mt. Gainor Road

Mt. Gainor Road at South Onion Creek, .25 miles west of Gatlin Creek Road
