More than a dozen Dripping Springs Tiger and Wimberley Texan swimmers are heading back to Austin for the 2019 UIL state swimming and diving championships at the Lee and Joe Jamail Swim Center.

Dripping Springs, which claimed the Class 5A 2018 girls swimming and diving title, looks to repeat with a handful of athletes returning to the state pool.

Leading the way is senior London Farris, who will swim in two individual events and a pair of relay races. Joining Farris is senior Lydia Evans, who was also a part of the 2018 state title team.

On the boys’ side, senior Steven LaFlamme and junior Danny Henry take on the state’s best.

Meanwhile, Wimberley senior Thom Naccarato returns for one last shot at a medal in a pair of sprint events. In diving, Wimberley senior Evan Mayhew makes his fourth and final appearance at the state and seeks a possible podium finish.
