DSISD students earn top honors at livestock show
At the annual Hays County Livestock Show, many DSISD students representing Dripping Springs FFA or 4H were successful. Projects of nine DSISD students received Grand Champion honors, while two others were Reserve Grand Champion. In addition, three students’ animals were chosen as Breed Champions, one was Reserve Breed Champion, and one was Division Reserve Champion. Many other students made the sale that was held on Jan. 26.

Reserve Grand Champions were Rayne Mendez (DSMS) in Intermediate Photography and Riley Berkholz (DSHS) in Market Goats.
High school DECA students qualify for state
A school-record 27 Dripping Springs High students placed high enough to earn the right to advance to state competition at the annual DECA competition in Bastrop. The group garnered honors from the approximately 1,300 Central Texas students who competed.
