A pair of first half goals provided enough push for the Dripping Springs Tigers boys soccer team to upend the Travis Rebels 3-1 in their district opener Friday.
Meanwhile, the Dripping Springs Lady Tigers soccer team dismantled Travis 9-0 to open their district season.
With the boys soccer team victory, Dripping Springs (6-1-5, 1-0) maintains a ten match unbeaten streak dating back to a Jan. 3 loss at a tournament in Frisco.
Dripping Springs continues district play Feb. 2 at Lanier. The Tigers return home Feb. 5 when they host LBJ.
The Lady Tigers in their game scored eight first half goals en route to the win. Nine different Tigers tallied a goal in the match, with senior Kaitlyn Molnar finishing with two assists.
The victory ends a five-game winless streak for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers host Lanier Feb. 1 at Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m.
