UPDATE – 12:35 p.m. Jan. 9

Officials have reopened Trautwein Road to through traffic after clearing the overturned 18-wheeler.

EARLIER

Authorities have closed Trautwein Road between U.S. Highway 290 and Fitzhugh Road in the Dripping Springs area Wednesday after an 18-wheeler went off a low-water crossing bridge and overturned.

According to officials, the incident happened around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 12000 block of Trautwein Road approximately one mile north of Highway 290. No one was hurt in the wreck.

However, authorities are experiencing "substantial delays" in clearing construction rock that spilled from the full-loaded trailer onto the roadway.

Officials urge motorists to avoid the area at this time.
