KYLE – One local Eagle Scout, Quintin Nieskes, recently took bird watching to a whole new level.
On Saturday, July 23, the Kyle Parks and Recreation Department partnered with Boy Scout Troop 812 to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bunton Wildflower Loop Bird Blind, located at 980 Bunton Reserve Boulevard – which was built by Nieskes for an Eagle Scout project.
A bird blind is a structure that allows people to participate in bird watching without being seen. According to Gardening Know How, using a bird blind allows for a better opportunity to capture photos by getting closer to the birds in a space where they will still behave naturally.
