Hays High’s athletics program opened the season with the annual Red & Blue BBQ at Shelton Stadium Aug. 21. The event was the 50th Red & Blue held and it introduced all who are in fall athletics and extracurricular activities. Surf’s up for a Hays football player who joined fellow classmates in celebrating the end of the event.
