Kyle Police have identified a suspect in the murder of 19-year-old Benjamin Albert Verse, who was found deceased in his vehicle on Sept. 25. Officers discovered his body in a business parking lot in the 22000 block of Interstate 35 in Kyle at approximately 12:42 a.m.
KPD conducted an investigation into Verse’s death, which lead to working with the San Marcos PD. As a result of that investigation, Justice of the Peace Beth Smith issued a warrant on Oct. 16 for the arrest of Davonte Tenille Miller, 20, of Kyle, for his alleged involvement in this homicide. The warrant is for a charge of Capital Murder.
Miller is currently being held in the Acadia Parish Jail in Louisiana on separate charges. This investigation is still ongoing with the possibility of additional charges to follow.
Kyle PD will not have any additional information beyond what is contained in this news release.
