When the Wimberley Texans needed offense Friday, senior quarterback Cooper McCollum once again shouldered the load.

The Texans gained further separation by scoring 14 unanswered points to start the second half, highlighted by an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Juan Olmedo Barraco. Wimberley led 41-17 before Fredericksburg battled back.
Led by quarterback Hastin Wilson, the Billies went on a 14-unanswered point spree, cutting the Texan lead to 41-31 in the fourth quarter. Wilson went 7 of 26 for 118 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 92 yards on 20 carries.
