Kyle utility officials are asking customers to limit their water usage Monday as planned repairs are made to a Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (GBRA) water line.
According to a press release, work on the line is expected to start March 11 and last for approximately 36 to 40 hours. GBRA, which provides a portion of the city's water supply via treated surface water from Canyon Lake, will cut off water to Kyle starting 6 a.m. March 11 to work on the line.
During that time, Kyle officials will pull from its groundwater supplies in order to mitigate any possible impacts. However, Kyle water customers are asked to limit water use and avoid unnecessary usage such as irrigation during the repair period.
Any information regarding known leads should be reported to the Kyle Public Works Department at 512-262-3024.
