Ten runs scored over a three-inning span carried the state and nationally ranked Dripping Springs Tigers softball team to an 11-1 run-rule road rout of the Lockhart Lions April 12.
With the win, Dripping Springs (30-2, 12-0) officially secures the program’s first district title since the 2017 season as well as the top overall seed out of 25-5A.
Dripping Springs and Lockhart were tied 1-1 after an inning of play before the Tiger offense leapt out for a four-run second frame.
