Senior pitcher Nic Gullo has been dominant all season and that didn’t change April 9 when he led his squad to a 3-0 home win over the Lockhart Lions.
Gullo, who has been the ace for the Tigers all year, struck out nine Lion batters and allowed only one hit over the course of five innings. Backing up Gullo was relief pitcher Nathan Koch, who recorded two strikeouts in two innings and allowed only one hit to close the contest.
Their efforts kept Lion bats at bay for the majority of the contest. Meanwhile, Tiger bats came through in critical moments to provide run support for their pitching staff.
