The City of Dripping Springs is now accepting applications for local Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) grant funds.
HOT funds, which are collected from the hotel and other lodging facilities, may only be used to promote tourism and the convention or the hotel industry under state law.
Each year, the city council approves a number of HOT funds to be allocated to external organizations. In order to be considered, projects must increase overnight stays in the area and meet one of the nine criteria for expenditure:
