Texas Night Sky Festival
Celebrate the starry Texas sky March 29-31 for the annual Texas Night Sky Festival at Dripping Springs Ranch Park. The free event, hosted by the city of Dripping Springs, Hays County Chapter Texas Master Naturalist, Texas Night Sky Festival Association and many others, features a plethora of activities, culminating in the big festival after dark on March 30. The activities on Sunday, March 31 will focus on supporting night sky advocates with opportunities to network with other advocates, get tips on protecting the night sky in your community, and learn the details about how to help your local park or community become an International Dark Sky Place. EarthKind: Preserve the good, prevent the rest
Hays County Master Gardeners will continue its “In The Garden” library series with a presentation by Marilyn Love on April 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Kyle Public Library. Learn the four basic tenets of being Earth-Kind: Water conservation, energy conservation, education of fertilizer and pesticide use, and reduction of yard waster entering the landfill. The event is free and open to the public.
