A pair of second half touchdowns wasn’t enough for the Lehman Lobos Friday as they fell to the Bowie Bulldogs 42-14 at Shelton Stadium.
The game started with a rude awakening for the Lobos as the Bulldogs tallied a 50-yard touchdown pass within the first 15 seconds of the game. Later in the first quarter, Bowie added another touchdown, capitalizing on a Lobo fumble at 2-yard line. The Bulldogs led 14-0 after a quarter.
Bowie maintained momentum and scored another touchdown in the first four minutes of the second frame. Meanwhile, Lehman’s offense struggled to get off the ground due to numerous incomplete passes and penalties that hindered progress.
The last few seconds of the first half ended with another Bowie touchdown, giving them a 28-0 halftime lead.
Lobo senior running back Keyshaun Williams said he wasn’t happy with the first half of the game. He and other teammates attempted to regain motivation and confidence in the locker room during the halftime break.
