Third graders from Carpenter Elementary were given
the assignment of writing cover letters to Santa for a job
as an elf. Here are what some of the kids had to say.

You should hire me because I know you are busy and I could help you! The reason why is because I’m really good at watching people. I been trying t be good all year. But the promblem is I kept getting in fights with Jimmy. I’m am a really hard worker and really like to make cookies. So I hope take me and like cookies and a really hard worker.

I would totally love and appreciate to be hired for a elf!! Here ar some reasons. Reason one: I’m a really fast worker and I am very helpful! By the way, yesterday (Dec 10, 2019) I finished homework that is due tomorrow! (Dec 12, 2019) Reason two: I LOVE working! I love homework, school work and much more! I love reading and writing at home too! Reason three: I’m really kind and love Christmas spirit! I adore Christmas music! I listen to Christmas music all the time! But I am being honest, I have some bad times too. Sometimes me and my little sister will fight. Sometime we will fight over the littlest things. I know, I know it’s bad… But she starts most fo them. I love christmas music, I would and I could listen to it all year if I had to. I think I am very nice but sometimes I get a little bit frustrated lila, my sister. I think im really helpful I help my mom cook and do the laundry. I have lots of friends, so it will be easy to make friends with the over elv’s .
