Those that have been to Walmart in Buda lately, may have been surprised to find that it is looking a bit different these days. As the culmination to a two-year long remodel process, Walmart celebrated its grand re-opening on Saturday, July 16. Store Manager Jared Kondrat spoke at the event about some of the changes that have been made, including repolished floors, wood replacement outside, signage updates, widened aisles, remapping of the store (to better match the Walmart App and make it more intuitive to the customer,) and changing of the assortment of products available to better meet the needs of the local community.

"We are a store of the community," Kondrat said.
Moving forward, Kondrat asked that the community bear with them as they begin the next phase of the process: redoing the entire parking lot. The redo will begin in approximately three weeks and is expected to be done in seven phases, starting with the area closest to the doors. Walmart will remain open and Kondrat thanks the community for its continued support as they work to create the best store environment possible.
