Kyle resident Andrew Martinez, 24, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 45 years in prison by a Hays County jury last week.

Martinez fatally shot Jacob Lambert, 19 in the Waterleaf subdivision on Sept. 14, 2014, when a drug deal went wrong.
District Attorney Wes Mau said in a press that five eyewitnesses refuted Martinez’ claims of self-defense.
