DRIPPING SPRINGS – Two businesses recently celebrated relocation with a ribbon cutting and grand opening.
The Dripping Springs Rental Center celebrated its new location, located at 30307-B Ranch Road 12 N, on Wednesday, June 29.
“What a wonderful community Dripping Springs is. It is with humble gratitude that Dripping Springs Rental Center begins a new era at our brand new location,” a statement from Rental Center said. “Finding a spot, planning the building and making the big move have filled this past year with much excitement and anticipation.”
The statement also said that customers and friends keep the business going.
“[They] have helped us say goodbye to the special place we started and grew our business, raised children and made so many memories. The new place is feeling like home already and our business of building and improving the community of Dripping Springs is up and running.”
EDG Coffee celebrated its relocation to the retail center in front of the Dripping Springs Middle School, located at 2001 W US Highway 290, on Thursday, June 30. Customers can enjoy visiting the coffee truck for now, but EDG Coffee will soon have a full retail operation inside the building this fall.
Britt and Audrey Hancock, owners of EDG Coffee, aim to improve the lives of “impoverished people in developing countries” through their business.
“Some coffee companies are trying to solve corruption through direct trade, to cut out the middleman who takes advantage of the farmers,” Britt Hancock said. “But we go beyond direct trade by actually owning the farm. That way we can pay our harvesters 48% above the national minimum wage, give them three meals a day, provide daycare for children, and a place to live.”
