Jerry Lee Evans of Buda passed away on August 18, 2019 at the age of 75 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on December 13,1943, in San Marcos, Texas, to Clyde and Elsie Evans. Jerry graduated from Buda High School in 1962 and liked to tell people that he graduated in the top 10 in his class (out of 11).
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers and sisters, Jane, Billy, Dannette, Mike and Jimmy, and son in law Chris. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Ann, his sister Shirley, brother Dave and his wife Minerva, and brother Terry and his wife Thea, his son Jerry Jr, his daughter Tammy and her husband Steve, his daughter Tracy, his granddaughters Ashley and soon to be husband Brandon, Kirsten and her husband Jonathon, and Kayla and Kacy, and the newest pride and joy of the family, great granddaughter Kaytee Lee, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps from 1962-65, and was stationed in both California and Okinawa. Jerry married the love of his life Ruth Ann on June 3,1966 and they had three kids, Jay, Tammy and Tracy.
