A Kyle man is behind bars at the Hays County jail on two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact stemming from an incident in June of 2006.
Roberto Afanador Flores, 45, was arrested by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 20 and booked into the Hays County Jail with a total bond amount of $100,000, $50,000 per charge.
According to the arresting affidavit HCSO Detective Angelo Florian was assigned to the case for further investigation after Officer Pedro Hernandez reported to a call on 3/31/16 where the original complaint was made.
The affidavit said a report was given to Hernandez by a family member of Flores that had witnessed him molesting a fellow family member younger than age 17.
Florian then attended a forensic interview on 4/8/16 with the alleged child victim related to Flores who said that she and Flores would have “tickle fights” when she was very young where he would put his hand down her pants and touch her genitals.
The child victim also said Flores would try and put his mouth on her breasts even though she had not developed breasts at the time of the incident.
Based on the information provided by the child victim in the forensic interview and the report already obtained by Hernandez with corroborating statements from a witness, Flores was arrested on two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Flores in currently being held at the Hays County Jail under $100,000 bond awaiting arraignment on 2/1/2018.
