A handful of Hays High students earned high honors at the UIL District Academics contest, which was held March 24.

On March 27, the Hays Speech and Debate team competed at the District 25 UIL Speech and Debate portion of the UIL Academics contest. Ten Hays students advanced to finals, garnering enough sweepstakes points to finish in second place just behind Lake Travis.
