The Affiliate (State) Destination Imagination competition was held earlier this month in Mansfield. Hays CISD had students on two teams that qualified to advance to this tournament. These teams included students representing Negley Elementary and Hays High. The Duct Tape Maniacs from Negley placed 18th in the fine arts challenge. Team members include Sebastian Crane, Lucy Ferguson, Yesenia Flores, Willow Hobson, Noah Hook and Jordan Juel. Team managers are Lisa Crane and Adrianna Hook. The Actletes 2.0, an independent team with students from Hays High, placed 10th in the eXtreme competition. Team members include Cambria Henry, Julia Pierce, Brooke Sheely, Jenna Sheely and Kiele Shultz. Team managers are Tish Cawley and Nellie Knight.
