Four Hays High students who are now finishing their junior year are part of a select national group of students who scored 212 or higher on their Pre-SAT and National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test (NMSQT). That high score means the four will be in the running this summer to be named either National Merit Scholarship Commended students or National Merit Semifinalists. The list includes (L-R) Levi Barksdale, Patrick Fox, Dylan Cousins, Bret Johnson, who are joined by Hays High Principal David Pierce.
