Staff Report

HAYS COUNTY — The Hays County Sheriff's Office is investigating Jesus Leonel Velerio-Santos for multiple

fraud cases.

Velerio-Santos operates in the Austin, San Antonio and Hill Country area, according to a news release by the Sheriff's Office. He drives a red Ford F150 and claims to do cabinet work for people at a discounted rate. He requests half the payment up front and the remaining amount upon completion. Once the down payment is received, Velerio-Santos disappears with the money and is unable to be contacted by the victim.
