Buda will continue its Movies in the Park series with “The Lego Ninjago Movie” on June 29. The movies will be hosted at the Buda Sportsplex. The movie starts at 8:45 p.m
Tournament 3 - Arroyo Fishing Tournament Series, June 30
Saturday, June 30 at the Longhorn RV Resort in Niederwald. Come out and watch local youth practice their angling skills in the six tournaments which will culminate in a championship in October.
Kyle Independence Day Fireworks Show, July 4
Kyle will once again present a spectacular fireworks show at the Plum Creek Golf Course.
Red, White & Buda, July 4
Buda will host a patriotic parade on Main Street on the morning of July 4 beginning at City Hall. Awards will be given to the best decorated bikes. After the parade, enjoy free activities and more fun at the Buda Greenbelt near the Buda Public Library. Later, come back out to the Buda Sportsplex for food, entertainment and a spectacular fireworks show. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Tiger student physicals July 21
UIL requires pre-participation physical evaluations for extra-curricular activities for high school and middle school students and DSYSA youth. a doctor will be on site at Tiger Stadium Field House from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 21. Friends Foundation annual BBQ date set
The Friends Foundation will host its 25th Annual BBQ Fundraiser at Pecan Grove (formerly the Salt Lick Pavilion) at 18200 RM 1826 in Driftwood from 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 11. This will be an evening of live music by Hot Texas Swing Band, a silent and live auction, Salt Lick BBQ, and more. Tickets for the BBQ buffet are $25 and will be available at the door.
In preparation for this fundraiser, the Friends Foundation is soliciting sponsors and donations for the live and silent auctions (voted #1 Best in Central Texas). The Friends Foundation provides services to the community and seniors in the Dripping Springs area.
All monies raised help support the Friends Foundation’s programs such as: Our Daily Bread – a hot meal delivery program for the homebound; Phillps Lifeline medic alert devices for summoning help in an emergency; financial assistance in times of need to low income seniors; and help fund special events at Hill Country Care for their residents, and other worthy programs beneficial to seniors.

Patriotic Concerts in Wimberley
The Wimberley Community Chorus and the Hill Country Community Band will combine forces to perform rousing renditions of many inspiring patriotic songs at the Wimberley First Baptist Church on July 4.
Summerfest
San Marcos’ fourth annual July 4 celebration will feature live music, a children’s parade, a patriotic costume contest, food vendors, and a grand finale fireworks display. Located in San Marcos’ plaza park.
