On Thursday, the Hays CISD board of trustees approved the hiring of two new principals during a special called meeting.
Simon Middle School in Kyle will be led by Charli Lennon, who hails from the Austin area and was most recently an assistant principal at Klein Cain High in the Houston area.
“I’m looking forward to creating a culture where everyone knows all students can learn,” she said.
Jennifer Hanna was approved to serve as principal at Tom Green Elementary in Buda. Hanna comes from Hillcrest Elementary in Del Valle ISD, where she served as an instructional assistant principal.
“I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the community,” Hanna said. “The success of students is the priority.”
