Two area teens were arrested earlier this month after they allegedly drove by and threatened another teen at gunpoint Dec. 4 in the Hays High parking lot after school hours.
Carlos Manuel Vences, 17, of Kyle, was booked into the Hays County Jail Dec. 4 on four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, along with unlawful carrying of a weapon in a prohibited place, a third-degree felony. An Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer was also issued for Vences. Matthew Xavier Acosta, 17, of Buda, was booked Dec. 10 on multiple aggravated assault with a deadly weapons charges. According to Hays County Jail records, the incident marks the fifth time since July Acosta has been arrested, all for various crimes.
Authorities were dispatched around 5 p.m. Dec. 4 to the Hays High parking lot to investigate a reported aggravated assault, according to arrest affidavits magistrated by Hays County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith and Pct. 5 Justice of the Peace Scott Cary,
