UPDATE – 1:37 p.m.
Heavy rainfall early Sunday has led officials to close a handful of roads in the area.
Below is a list of current closures in Hays County. Up-to-date information can be found at atxfloods.com or haysinformed.com.
Officials have also closed Jacob's Well Natural Area in Wimblerley and Five Mile Dam Park near San Marcos due to heavy rain and unsafe hiking conditions. Park-goers who had reservations to swim at Jacob's Well will be contacted and times rescheduled, according to a county press release. Heavy rain has clouded water in the well and has made it unsafe for swimming, officials said.
A Flash Flood Warning has been extended to 4:15 p.m.; a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m Sunday.
Hays County emergency officials are asking residents to limit travel if possible and be aware of any low water crossings. Remember – Turn around, don't drown.
We will update as road closure information comes in during the day.
