DRIPPING SPRINGS – The Rambo Masonic Lodge awarded $7,000 in scholarships to Dripping Springs High School (DSHS) students – and a $1,000 scholarship to a Lake Travis High School student.
Tom Chenault is the lodge’s pit master and most of the funds were raised from selling smoked turkeys and hams at Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to member Wayland D. Clark.
Dripping Springs Chapter No. 860, Order of the Eastern Star, also awarded $500 scholarships to DSHS students Dominic Gearing and Arysta Visser at the awards ceremony.
Rambo Masonic Lodge and its members were proud to provide financial aid to students at Dripping Springs High School. On behalf of the Lodge, Wayland D. Clark attended the awards ceremony on May 18 and presented students with a $1,000 scholarship. Students receiving the scholarship are, from left, Weston Kirk, Evelyn Bristol, William Travis Parks, Chase Whisenant, Ben Circe and Annabelle Crowder.
