Fifth-Grade students at Science Hall Elementary late last mont had the opportunity to participate in a Google Hangout with two different sides of the technology industry. Kevin Lee, a software engineer, discussed how he helps develop apps for the Iphone. Students also heard from Matthew Castanera Bartoszek, who spoke to the students about putting creative skills to use. Castanera Bartoszek is the director of information technology at Science Hall Elementary. Daniel Born, senior programmer for Hays CISD, came to share his knowledge of coding with the students and had the students change code on an html document that he created specifically for this week’s lesson.
