Hundreds braved rainy conditions Saturday and donned their scales, flippers and seashells for the annual Mermaid Parade promenade held in the downtown corridor in San Marcos. The parade was part of the third annual SMTX Mermaid SPLASH event hosted by the Mermaid Society SMTX.
