A Kyle man was arrested late Saturday after allegedly killing a relative and stabbing another in their shared home in the Plum Creek subdivision.
Giovanni Alexander Salinas, 20, of Kyle was arrested at approximately 11:50 p.m. Sept. 22, according to a press release. Salinas was booked into the Hays County Jail Sept. 23 on one charge of first-degree murder, and a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Salinas was also charged with tampering with physical evidence, a third-degree felony, and evading arrest, a Class-A misdemeanor.
Kyle Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Kirby Saturday after receiving reports of an aggravated assault. When police arrived at the scene, they found the body of a deceased man, as well as a "severely injured" woman who had been stabbed. The condition of the woman is unknown at this time. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims.
Witnesses told authorities the suspect fled on foot. Police located the suspect, later identified as Salinas, blocks away from the scene, according to a press release. Police are reporting that Salinas is a relative of the victims.
Bond has not yet been set for Salinas, according to Hays County Jail records.
