BUDA — Hard work has paid off for the Hays Lady Hawks Softball team as it makes its way to the Area Playoffs this week.
The Hawks earned the top seed from 26-6A with a 4-1 win over Bowie on Tuesday, April 26, and they opened their postseason with a win as they secured a 2-0 victory in Game 1 of their bi-district series with Cedar Ridge on Thursday, April 28. They continued the victory with a 3-1 win in Game 2.
Lady Hawks are competing in the Area Playoffs beginning with Game 1 at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at San Marcos. Game 2 will be at noon on Saturday, May 7 at Marion and then, Game 3 will be at 2 p.m. at Marion.
